Terrestrial laser scan data of a experimental plot in Dippoldiswalder Heathland near Malter in the State of Saxony (Germany).

The area was surveyed using terrestrial laser scanning, and the subsequent derivation of individual tree yield data (DBH, tree height, volume, etc.) was carried out as part of a study to assess the ecosystem services of different forest stands (recorded in 2025). In this dataset, transmission errors and unit errors have been corrected. The file Terrestrial_laser_scan_data_malter reflects the specific spatial coverage of the survey: The overstory (120-year-old Scots pine) comprises the entire 100 m × 100 m sample area, whereas the regeneration data (Scots pine and silver birch) was recorded exclusively in the central reference plot (x 35–65, y 35–65 m).
