Gestating beef cows raised under extensive production are vulnerable to nitrogen deficiency from pastures. The strategy of nitrogen supplementation for cows during critical periods of gestation may optimize fiber degradation and enhance energy availability for microbial synthesis, contributing to fetal growth. Therefore, the current study aimed to determine the enriched biological process, through proteomic and transcriptome data, associated with maternal slow-release nitrogen diets (SRN) received during late gestation on the skeletal muscle of the offspring.
