The rumen viral genomes were reconstructed by sequencing virus-like particles in the rumens of 37 Japanese Black cattle. The completeness of viral genomes was assessed using CheckV. The Japanese Black Rumen Viral genomes (JBRV) include 22,942 viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs) of middle-quality or higher (≥5 kb length and ≥50% completeness).
