Replication Data for: Politically Connected Owners

The analyses in the "Politically Connected Owners" paper include both proprietary and publicly-available data. The proprietary data can be accessed through the Bureau Van Dijk Orbis database. We include detailed instructions here on how to create the variables used in the analysis from the Orbis data. We also provide the publicly-available data (which would need to be merged with the firm-level Orbis data), as well as the .do file for analyzing the data.
