This data set contains biomechanics data during five good quality walking strides from healthy human participants (N = 10) walking at various speeds, step frequencies, step lengths, and step widths. The five good quality strides were selected during each of 33 walking trials, together spanning a broad range of speeds (0.7-2.0 m/s), step frequencies (55-140 % of participants preferred), step lengths (0.5-1.1 m), and step widths (0-0.4 m). Biomechanics data include the 3D positions of motion capture markers attached to anatomical locations and body segments, and ground reaction forces recorded with force platforms. This data set also includes inverse dynamics data obtained with Visual 3D software (C-Motion, Germantown, USA), including 3D joint positions, forces, moments, and powers. All data is provided in .mat format, which can be opened, visualized and analyzed with MATLAB software (MathWorks Inc., Natick, USA).
