Our study develops a rough element disturbance model using fracture surface topography data. Through numerical experiments, we examine how different rough element sizes (Δ), positions (BE/ME), and disturbance scales (L) affect fluid flow. By filtering the undisturbed velocity field, we identify three distinct regions: the Enhanced Velocity Region (EVR), the Reduced Velocity Region (RVR), and the Invariant Velocity Region (IVR). A scale-reduction approach is employed to analyze the variations in hydraulic gradients across these disturbance scales.
