Pavement Condition Index Thornton Township 2025

This pilot program dataset provides Pavement Condition Index (PCI) values for roadway segments within the following townships: Barrington, Bloom, Lake, Palos, Stickney, and Thornton. PCI is a numerical rating of pavement condition based on the type and severity of distresses observed on the pavement surface, where 0 represents the worst possible condition and 100 represents the best possible condition. Roads were divided into segments with a maximum length of 0.25 line miles per segment; segments longer than 0.25 miles were split into equal-length sub-segments. Each segment is assigned an average PCI value derived from higher-resolution PCI point data by associating PCI score points within a maximum distance of 20 feet from the roadway segment and calculating the segment-level average.本试点项目数据集提供了Barrington、Bloom、Lake、Palos、Stickney及Thornton六个镇区范围内道路路段的路面状况指数（Pavement Condition Index，PCI）数值。PCI是基于路面表面观测到的病害类型与严重程度对路面状况进行量化评级的指标，取值范围为0至100，其中0代表最差路面状况，100代表最佳路面状况。道路被划分为单段最大长度为0.25线英里的路段；若路段长度超过0.25英里，则将其拆分为若干等长的子路段。每个路段的平均PCI值由高分辨率PCI点数据计算得到：选取距该路段最大距离不超过20英尺范围内的PCI评分点，据此计算得到该路段的平均PCI值。
