Computational code to simulate the crosstalk between Bmp9 and Notch signaling in endothelial cells (and pericytes) within in vitro experiments or during sprouting angiogenesis. The objective of the research was to investigate the role that Bmp9-mediated upregulation of Lunatic Fringe expression plays in modulating the activity of Notch in cell culture and angiogenesis experiments. The results of the computational simulations were validated via in vitro and in vivo experiments.
