Normative evaluation of the actions of family health nurses in the control of schistosomiasis in Pernambuco

ABSTRACT Normative evaluation of nurse's actions in the control of schistosomiasis in Pernambuco within the Family Health Program was conducted between 2009 and 2011. A logic model has been built from the regulatory apparatus and a semi-structured questionnaire, which was applied to 40 nurses from 40 units of a random sample covering 23 municipalities. The actions were judged from the creation of the composite indicator Implementation Degree (GI). The management function (52.8%) was better implemented than the technical function (33.3%). The GI process was 47.84 points (incipient). There was failure in the identification of the environmental criteria of risk, in joint planning and surveillance.
