Data and code for: Trends, inequalities, and classification uncertainty in injury mortality among children and adolescents in Kazakhstan, 2004–2022: a population-based analysis of the WHO Mortality Database

This repository contains derived aggregate datasets and R analysis code accompanying the manuscript “Trends, inequalities, and classification uncertainty in injury mortality among children and adolescents in Kazakhstan, 2004–2022: a population-based analysis of the WHO Mortality Database”. The data concern children and adolescents aged 5–19 years in Kazakhstan and were derived from the WHO Mortality Database. The package includes cause-specific injury death counts by year, age group and sex, population denominators, detailed external-cause codes, all-cause and ill-defined-cause death counts, a data dictionary, and documentation. The main mortality-rate analyses cover 2004–2022. Additional death counts for 2023–2024 are included for descriptive analyses only, without mortality-rate estimation.
