Inequalities in the AI Era: Infrastructure, Gender Gap, and Academic Performance in Industrial Engineering Students (A Comparative Analysis in Northern Mexico)

This dataset provides primary data from a comparative study on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, digital infrastructure, and gender disparity on the academic performance of Industrial Engineering students in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The study includes data from both public and private higher education institutions in the Northern Border region. Variables include the frequency of AI tool usage, perceived impact on academic performance, technology access quality, and self-reported differences in access and bias perception. This dataset can be used to analyze educational inequities in STEM fields in developing border regions.
