Administrative units (settlement units and administrative units)

The dataset contains a common database structure covering the three Baltic States and a hierarchical network of administrative and settlement units with standardised attributes. The countries with the highest ranking in the hierarchy and the lowest-level settlement units or parts thereof (if distinct districts). Intermediate levels depend on the national administrative division and local custom to name territories. The database is linked to the Regio address database, which allows them to be used as a whole and provides added value to territories (e.g. population numbers). The database contains a hierarchical network of administrative and settlement units of Baltic states in a standardised form.
