The last work of Cosimo De Giorgi, called Geological and hydrographic report in the province of Lecce, probably published posthumously,in the 1922,after an extremely complex story, makes evident intense and ancient friendship between De Giorgi with Antonio Vallone, hydraulic engineer with an extensive experience and member of parliament, who tries, unsuccesfully, to publish the work by the Land of Otranto Provincial Councilior.
