This study was performed to compare the frequencies of indel formation at the edited genomic sites (on-target sites) upon targeted knock-in using CRISPR/Cas9 nickases and those elicited by the use of CRISPR/Cas9 nucleases. The human PIGA gene was subjected to editing and analyzed by deep sequencing.
