Homogenized monthly maximum temperature, minimum temperature and precipitation dataset for Mexico (1961–2017)
收藏资源简介:
The dataset comprises homogenized monthly records of maximum temperature (TX), minimum temperature (TN), and precipitation (P) for Mexico from 1961 to 2017. These records were derived from station observations provided by the Mexican National Meteorological Service (SMN) and processed using standardized quality control and homogenization procedures. Initial quality control was conducted using INQC, resulting in approximately 90% data availability across stations. Subsequent homogenization with HOMER corrected inhomogeneities and addressed a limited number of remaining gaps, yielding temporally complete monthly series. The dataset includes 706 unique stations. A unified metadata file is provided that contains station identifiers, names, geographic coordinates, elevation, variable availability flags (TX, TN, P), temporal coverage, and climatic region classification. This dataset supports national-scale climate analysis, spatial interpolation, and uncertainty quantification. Keywords Mexico, climate data, homogenization, temperature, precipitation, Bayesian interpolation
