TB Genotyping Information Management System

The TB Genotyping Information Management System (TB GIMS) is a secure Web-based system designed to improve access and dissemination of genotyping information nationwide. The system: (1) Stores and manages genotyping data on TB patients in the United States, (2) Allows users to submit and track Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates to and from the contract genotyping labs, (3) Provides immediate notification of genotyping results and updates to TB labs and programs, (4) Links isolate data to patient-level surveillance data (5) Provides reports on genotype clusters, including national genotype distribution, (6) Provides national, state, and county maps of genotype clusters
