HYDROUSA solutions_Payback period datasets

This report presents the payback periods estimated for the HYDROUSA exploitation scenarios. It is an extraction of non-confidential information from the Deliverable 8.10 ‘Business Plan for Exploitation issue #2’. The exploitation scenarios of HYDROUSA are based on the services provided for the end-users combining one or more technologies and promoting the circularity concept of HYDROUSA solutions as well as the non-conventional sources of water. They include the following: HYDRO1 (Circleflow): Resource recovery from wastewater treatment, HYDRO1&2 (HYDRO-Crop): Resource recovery from wastewater treatment together with irrigation/fertigation of an agroforestry system using the nutrient-rich reclaimed water, HYDRO3 (HYDROp3): Rainwater harvesting system and irrigation of high value crops with low irrigation requirements, HYDRO4 (Raincatch): Decentralised rainwater harvesting and aquifer storage and recovery system, HYDRO5 (MANGROVE Still): Seawater and brine desalination used to irrigate fruits in a greenhouse and HYDRO6 (HYDROLODGE): Closing water loops within eco-tourist facilities.A separate annex is provided with the value used for estimating the payback periods for each scenario (CAPEX, OPEX, Revenues & savings). This report provides also an estimation of carbon sequestration/emissions reduction and job creation. A summary of all findings is given in the last chapter.
