Hydrostatic models of theoretical planispiral ectocochleate cephalopods

Zipped folder containing virtual models (in .STL format) of theoretical ectocochleate cephalopods (oxycone, serpenticone, sphaerocone, and morphospace center). There are four components of each model used in hydrostatic calculations: 1) shell, 2) chambers (camerae), 3) soft body, and 4) water displaced. Each near-endmember morphotype has two versions: 1) Body chamber lengths allowing neutral buoyancy with Nautilus-like chamber liquid (~12%), and 2) Body chamber lengths of the representative specimens used to build the models (Sphenodiscus for oxycone, Dactylioceras for serpenticone, and Goniatites for sphaerocone).
