Metagenomic sequencing of surfacewater in the Yangtze watershed (PRJCA041568)

This project focuses on metagenomic sequencing of surface water samples from the Yangtze River Basin to investigate microbial community composition and functional potential. A total of 11 surface water samples were collected, with each sample sequenced to a depth of at least 20 Gb. Total DNA was extracted and sequenced on the BGI T7 platform using paired-end sequencing. The dataset provides valuable insights into microbial diversity and ecological functions in large river ecosystems.
