RNA-binding protein (RBP)-viral RNA interactions are essential for the viral life cycle and host cell. RNA viruses depend on host RBPs to accomplish their biological cycle; however, the compendium of RBPs involved in virus infection has remained poorly characterized. It has been demonstrated that susceptibility genes frequently physically interact with vRNA to exert their proviral function. Therefore, an RNA-bound proteome (RBPome)-wide identification of host RBPs enriched under virus-infected conditions could point toward candidate S-genes. Here, we used a Silica-based Acidic Phase Separation approach to elucidate RBPome changes following Rice yellow mottle virus infection.
