This Gaofen-based dataset for illegal construction monitoring in urban built-up areas for refined urban management is developed using GF-7 satellite and other Gaofen remote sensing imagery, vector data of urban construction approval and planning, and other relevant data. It leverages state-of-the-art deep learning models combined with GIS spatial analysis technologies and manual auxiliary discrimination to detect illegal new construction, roof addition, expansion and renovation of buildings, addressing the technical bottlenecks in current urban illegal construction monitoring methods. Ultimately, it generates thematic products for illegal construction monitoring in urban built-up areas, which is of great significance for rational urban planning, optimal allocation of urban land resources and refinement of urban building information.
This dataset serves as a fundamental means to support the healthy development and refined management of cities, and plays an important role in promoting the demonstrative application of China's high-resolution satellite remote sensing data across relevant industries.
This dataset for illegal construction monitoring in urban built-up areas also has practical significance for establishing a scientific and complete urban management and supervision mechanism based on Gaofen remote sensing data, and formulating production processes for thematic products of illegal construction monitoring in urban built-up areas for urban management and supervision.
