In this study, an exogenous Bacillus subtilis M15-10-1 assists nutrients to stimulate indigenous microorganisms to enhance oil recovery was investigated. We observed oil degradation and emulsification, and used Illumina Miseq SSU rRNA gene sequencing and Real-time qPCR to observe the response of community structure and abundance during stimulation with nutrients or combination with the Bacillus subtilis.
