Greater Yellowstone Area (USA) Mountain Pine Beetle Brood Productivity Data from 2008 to 2010

Data were collected in four wildfire burn areas at least one year post-fire throughout the summers of 2008 to 2010. For each tree sampled, data were recorded on mountain pine beetle entry, mountain pine beetle exit, fire injury category of the tree, percent basal injury, percent bole injury, percent canopy injury, cambium kill rating, diameter of tree at breast height, height of tree, mistletoe rating, blister rust lesion presence, presence of Ips beetles, presence of wood-boring beetles, presence of Pityogenes beetles, burn site name, percent slope of transect, degree aspect of transect, and elevation of transect. The purpose of the data was to measure the brood productivity of mountain pine beetle in lodgepole pines experiencing varying degrees of fire injury.
