National Park Hohe Tauern Biodiversity Day 2016-29-31 July 2016 — Tauerntal (Carinthia) — Results report

From 29 to 31 July 2016, the tenth National Park Hohe Tauern Day of Biodiversity took place in the Tauern Valley (Carinthia). During this event, 52 experts were able to demonstrate 1,702 species of animals, plants and fungi (as well as subordinate systematic units) for this area of study. All proven species were integrated into the Biodiversity Database of the Hohe Tauern National Park, which experienced a huge increase of more than 5,800 datasets through the Hohe Tauern Day of Biodiversity Day in 2016. A total of 2,506 species of animals, plants and fungi (as well as subordinate systematic units) are now detected in the study area.
