Purpose: To identify novel LRH-1 target genes in adult knockout livers. Methods & Results: Loss of LRH-1 in adult liver resulted in hepatic steatosis. To assess the role of LRH-1 in hepatic lipid metabolism, we performed transcriptional profiling on total RNA isolated from 14-week-old adult male knockout mice fed standard diet (SD) or high-fat diet (HFD) for 6 weeks. Mice infected with AAV8-eGFP served as controls. RNA-Seq analysis revealed novel LRH-1 gene targets involved in phosphatidylcholine metabolism and phospholipid diversity.
