This article explores the linguocognitive dimensions of affectionate communication, demonstrating how concepts such as endearment, pampering, closeness, politeness, empathy, and warmth are conveyed through various linguistic forms, both morphologically and lexically, as well as at the sentence level. Analysed examples show linguocognitive and pragmatic peculiarities of this linguistic phenomenon in the English and Uzbek cultures.
