Population genomics for trait improvement in the underutilised crop tef

Resequencing of 220 Eragrostis tef accessions from the Ethiopian Institute for Agricultural Research. This ~14x coverage short-read data was used for population genomics, phylogeny reconstruction, and genome-wide association mapping. These approaches have increased our understanding of this important diversity collection and led to detection of genomic loci linked to several traits of agronomic interest including panicle morphology, grain size, and grain colour.
