A collection of 16S rRNA sequences from soil collected from Canada Stream Antarctic Specially Protected Area #131 of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica. This project aimed to compare microbial communities in areas subject to different hydrological responses to freeze/thaw cycles. Sites were determined by an increase in liquid water availability via remote sensing techniques following an anomalous warm weather event in the Austral Autumn that brought soil temperatures above freezing.
