Our research question is does forest structure impact the dispersal distance of wind dispersed bunchgrasses? Forest structure was measured using terrestrial LiDAR. LAS files for each site are provided. These are merged files, meaning we took the nine scans that occurred at each site and merged them using reflective targets to create one site level LAS file. Dispersal data for Andropogon ternarius is provided. Seeds were dispersed from a height of 1 meter under varying wind conditions and forest structures. Dispersal distance was measured and provided in centimeters. Wind Speed is provided in miles per hour. Site type refers to frequency of prescribed fire . Tree_volume_grouped is the source data for the assessment of LiDAR to actual volume.
