A cluster of drainage areas in which the same level is pursued (Aquo, 2014). A drainage area is an area that is bounded by flow separations, where draining water in that area ends up with a level-regulating artwork (propulsion, pumping, etc.). Survey areas are digitised based on field inventory of the detail drainage and the AHN2 subsurface. If specifically requested to digitise drainage units in an area, the monitoring areas are generated from the draining units (by merging them into one level area).
