SNP genotyping of Highland Wild dogs, New Guinea Singing Dogs, and a dingo.

SNP genotyping was used to determine if the free living Highland Wild dogs of Papua, Indonesia are the ansestors of captive New Guinea Singing Dogs. DNA was collected from free living Highland Wild dogs and dingo and captive New Guinea singing dogs. SNPs were genotyed using the Illumina CanineHD SNP chip. These SNPs were analyzed using distance measures, maximum likelihood, haplotype sharing and admixture tools to examine the genetic history of wild dogs.
