We collected mosquitoes in 2016-2019 and EDTA-treated blood samples from febrile racehorses in 2017-2020 at the Miho training center, where the several outbreaks of Getah virus occurred, and examined Getah virus infection in their mosquitoes and racehorses. Getah viruses were detected from mosquitoes (Aedes vexans nipponii) in 2016 (16-0810#26) and isolated from a febrile racehorse in 2019 (19-I-703).
