New drought-tolerant rice cultivar (Kian)The goal of this project was genomic sequencing of new drought-tolerant rice cultivar with origin of Iranian landrace Tarom Mahalli (indica rice) entitled Kian in order to consider genetic variations after gamma Irradiation. This cultivar is in 12th generation of mutation and completely pure. At present, our goal is understanding the molecular regulation of responses to stresses specially drought, yield and yield components of this rice compared to its parental landrace and reference genome.Iranian rice landrace Tarom MahalliThe goal of this project was genomic sequencing of one of the two famous Iranian rice landrace entitled Tarom Mahalli (indica rice) in order to consider genetic variations compared to reference genome. At present, our goal is understanding the molecular regulation of agronomical and nutritional properties such as yield and yield components of this rice.
