Wine protection and promotion areas in the province of Massa-Carrara

The cartographic archive of the wine protection and promotion areas in the province of Massa-Carrara identifies the territorial portions suitable for the production of wines with a controlled designation of origin (DOC) and a typical geographical indication (GIT). In particular, the potential areas of grape production for the production of the DOC wines Candia Colli Apuani, DOC Colli di Luni and IGT Val di Magra were determined, in accordance with the production guidelines. The aim is to provide, to the local authorities interested in the valorisation and protection of quality wines, an instrument for the governance of the territory, through the proper management of information.
