Coding Dataset for Racial and Ethnic Representation in Six Headway (5th Edition) Coursebooks

This dataset contains two Excel files comprising quantitative coding data on racial and ethnic representation in six textbooks from the *Headway* series (5th edition). The files include frequency tallies produced independently by two coders as part of a content analysis study examining visual and textual representation across the series. Coding focused on the identification and classification of represented racial and ethnic categories within images and related content throughout the textbooks. The dataset is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and potential secondary analysis relating to representation in English language teaching (ELT) materials.
