Underground catchment areas in groundwater

The data have been aggregated from the project “Balancing the groundwater supply for the Land of Brandenburg” (HGN opinion 2021) in connection with the data for the project “Hydroisohypsenplan 2017” from the Environmental Plan (2017). Based on reference date-based groundwater/surface water level data from spring 2015, the interpolation procedure “Detrended Kriging/Residual Kriging” was performed in combination with a geohydraulic modelling, the calculation of hydroisohypses (lines of equal groundwater levels related to NHN). For the representation of the subterranean catchment areas, the above-ground catchment areas were first excluded. After that, the subterranean catchment areas were excluded in the derivation of the above-mentioned hydrodynamics from spring 2015. Underground catchment areas are also called groundwater catchment areas.
