资源简介:
As part of our ongoing improvement, we are asking users to please provide some basic information to help us understand how this data is useful. Your information will not be shared with any third party and will be used exclusively to improve the Atlas. We ask that you please use this form if you are downloading data from the atlas. The Bay Area Energy Atlas is developed by the California Center for Sustainable Communities, housed within the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, in partnership with and funded by the Bay Area Regional Energy Network. The atlas is a database of building energy consumption that links PG&E metered energy consumption to building characteristics, sociodemographic data, and other significant attributes. The website generated by the datasets provided here is a public data resource that displays spatially aggregated monthly energy consumption statistics for the nine Bay Area counties, which currently includes data from 2015 to 2021.Consumption data are provided at the county, census place, census tract, and zip code tabulation area levels and are aggregated by building use type, building vintage bin, building size bin, area median income bin, and CalEnviroscreen percentile range. To best accommodate expected use cases, the data are available for download in two ways: (1) By aggregations as reflected in the atlas pages for all available geographies and (2) Organized by aggregations as reflected in the atlas pages, then by geographic level, and finally by county. While Census Tracts fit neatly within county boundaries, Census Places and Zip Code Tabulation Areas in Option (2) are included in the county for which they are entirely or primarily contained. Please be aware that these datasets can and will be updated over time as data or technology improvements allow. Updates will be noted when they occur. Please read the Methods page of the Bay Area Energy Atlas to better understand how this data can be used and areas of embedded error.Disclaimer: Validation of data is an ongoing process and we cannot guarantee data accuracy. We welcome and appreciate feedback on data irregularities to help us improve our database. All current data on the site should be viewed and used with this understanding.Column Name (Unit) - DescriptionGEOID (NA) - Census Bureau Geographic Identifiername (NA) - Formatted name of the selected geographyusetype (NA) - Building use type categoryyear (year) - Year of consumptionmonth (month) - Month of consumptionsecondary category (Vintage year, square feet, percent of area median income, CalEnviroscreen percentile) - When applicable, this will show the available bins for building vintage, building size, area median income, and CalEnviroscreen percentile.pop (people) - Total populationmedian_household_income (USD) - Median household income per the 2018-2022 ACS 5-Year EstimatesFY 2022 Income Limit Area (NA) - Relevant area as determined by HUD to identify Median Family Income for the area median income calculation. Only available in the area median income datasets.limit_area_median_income (USD) - Median Family Income as determined by HUD per the relevant income limit area. Only available in the area median income datasets.sqft (square feet) - Total square footage of relevant geography and use typebtu (BTU) - Total combined consumption in BTUsbtu_median (BTU) - Median combined consumption in BTUsbtu_per_sqft_median (BTU) - Median per square foot combined consumption in BTUsbtu_percap*(BTU/population) - Per capita combined consumption in BTUskwh (kWh) - Total electricty consumption in kWhkwh_median (kWh) - Median electricity consumption in kWhkwh_per_sqft_median (kWh/sqft) - Median electricity consumption per square foot in kWhkwh_percap*(kWh/population) - Per Capita electricity consumption in kWhtherm (Therms) - Total natural gas consumption in thermstherm_median (Therms) - Median natural gas consumption in thermstherm_per_sqft_median (Therms/sqft) - Median per square foot natural gas consumption in thermstherm_percap* (Therms/population) - Per capita natural gas consumption in therms*Keep in mind that while per capita consumption is available for all building use types, it may not be appropriate for non residential use type categories.
