Human Values, Purpose & Meaning 2025 (Dataset)

This dataset is part of the Human Clarity Institute’s AI–Human Experience Data Series. It examines how adults understand their personal values, sense of meaning, life direction, fulfilment, behavioural alignment, and emotional wellbeing — and how these concepts interact with digital and AI-mediated environments.The dataset includes:• validated 1–7 Likert-scale indicators<br>• values clarity and meaning measures<br>• fulfilment, direction, and future motivation items<br>• alignment vs conflict between values and behaviour<br>• identity struggle indicators<br>• wellbeing measures based on the WHO-5<br>• digital/AI influence on values and decision-making<br>• open-text reflections<br>• demographic variables across six English-speaking countriesAll data were collected via Prolific in November 2025. The dataset has been cleaned, anonymised, verified, and documented following HCI’s open-data publication protocol.This dataset supports research on meaning, purpose, wellbeing, behaviour alignment, and how digital systems influence value-driven decision-making.
