Spiroplasma citri strain: C5 Genome sequencing and assembly

Spiroplasma citri is a bacterium that causes stubborn disease of citrus and carrot purple leaf. S. citri is transmitted by leafhoppers in a circulative and persistent manner. Due to limited sequence data on S. citri, the bacterium was isolated from carrot. DNA from S. citri C5 was extracted from a culture in LD8 and subjected to Nanopore sequencing. This genome extends the sequence database of S. citri and allow for comparative genomics analyses with previously sequenced strains.

Spiroplasma citri，一种引起柑橘类植物及胡萝卜紫色叶病的细菌，通过叶跳蚤以循环及持久的方式传播。鉴于对Spiroplasma citri的序列数据有限，该细菌从胡萝卜中分离得到。来自Spiroplasma citri C5的DNA，系从LD8培养基中提取，并经Nanopore测序。本基因组序列扩展了Spiroplasma citri的序列数据库，并允许与先前测序菌株进行比较基因组学分析。
