Denovo assembly of Maltese Dog Breed Draft Genome

o Maltese is a small companion dog breed vulnerable to more diseases and helped to identify genetic markers for diseases among small dog breeds.o However, its genome sequence is not listed in the reference database such as NCBI and Ensemble.o This study aimed to assemble the draft genome of the Maltese breed using Whole genome short reads sequencing.o Still various factors need to be analyzed, we wish to submit these denovo assembled genome sequences as short communication and submit the sequences to the public repository for the benefit of researchers.
