Home Care in the Family Health Strategy: implementation degree analysis in the city of Camaçari (BA)

ABSTRACT The objective of the study here reported was to estimate the level of Home Care Type 1 (AD1) implementation. For that reason, semi-structured interviews, practice observation, and document analysis were conducted by means a single case study in the city of Camaçari, State of Bahia. The results indicated intermediate level of implementation, measured among X levels. The attention to the user achieved the most advanced level among components despite the low score of teams in relation to health promotion and care plan co-management. Weaknesses regarding also Attention to the Family and Caregivers as Home Care Management were highlighted. It is recommended to carry out the reorganization of working process aspects of primary care teams and municipal management through the institutional support investment.
