资源简介:
This project aims to sequence and analyze the genome of Neisseria gonorrheae, abacterium, which is the pathogen responsible for gonorrhea disease. This bacterium is known to developresistance to antibiotics that makes it hard to treat, and this study hopes to find the genes responsiblefor this antimicrobial resistance. The primary goal of this study is to identify genetic determinants ofantimicrobial resistance and their prevalence, which will enhance our understanding of its biology andinform the development of better antibiotic therapies. We will employ next-generation sequencing technology (Illumina Nextera XT Kit), we will generate readswhich will be used for the analysis of the genome. This research is critical for developing more effectivetreatment practices for the disease. Our findings will contribute to better understanding of thedevelopment of antimicrobial resistance of the bacteria and ways to counter the effect of thisresistance. The study is relevant to microbiologists, pathologists, immunologists and researchers focused onantibiotic development. The insights gained from this research will not only aid in combating gonorrheabut also provide a model for understanding suitable antibiotic therapy.
