资源简介:
This dataset is support the article "Does parenting self-efficacy mediate the relationship between father acceptance, perceived social support, and involvement in special needs child caregiving?". This study has three hypotheses: 1) Parenting self-efficacy mediates the relationship between fathers' acceptance of their involvement in caring for children with special needs, 2) Parenting self-efficacy mediates the relationship between fathers' acceptance and perception of social support and their involvement in caring for children with special needs, and 3) Parenting self-efficacy mediates the relationship between fathers' acceptance of their involvement in caring for children with special needs and their perception of social support. The findings indicated that father acceptance had no significant influence on father involvement in caring. However, perceived social support was found to be strongly and positively predictive of paternal engagement. Furthermore, parenting self-efficacy completely moderated the association between father approval and involvement, while partially mediating the relationship between perceived social support and participation.
