资源简介:
This publicly available dataset encompasses high pressure heat treatment development for laser powder bed fusion (PBF-L) Ti-6Al-4V. In order to understand microstructure as it influences processing-structure-properties-performance relationships, this dataset was acquired with the aim to isolate microstructure as a variable. To accomplish this, identical blocks of Ti-6Al-4V were additively manufactured via PBF-L and were separated into separate groups of for various heat treatments. Given that Ti-6Al-4V is highly sensitive to small changes in chemical content, subjecting separate groups of blocks from the same build to 14 different heat treatments allowed for the observation of different microstructures and subsequent effects on mechanical properties. In order to have a statistically significant dataset of mechanical properties while exploring microstructure morphologies, mini-tensile specimens were machined from the heat treatment block groups in the horizontal and vertical build directions. By utilizing mini-tensile specimen geometry, we were able to perform 300 tensile tests (1 as-built condition %20 14 heat treat conditions * 2 orientations). Three conditions were then down selected for rotating bending fatigue (RBF) testing.
