资源简介:
This is the dataset used in Ferreira, CH and Moita, MA.Behavioral and neuronal underpinnings of safety in numbers in fruit flies. Nature Communications. CSVs files contain the raw data for each fly after videos were processed in idtracker and ‘fly motion quantifier’. They are separated in folders whose naming refers to the experiments described in the paper, containing information on group size, genotype and/or type of experimental manipulation. The name of each CSV file includes: 1) the number of flies in the group, allowing analysis by group size ; 2) the group identifier - each replicate was numbered so that flies could be correctly assigned to the group in which they were tested; 3) the arena identifier - the setup contained two side-by-side chambers, designated cond 1 and 2. For all analysis in the paper we used the data columns 1, 3, 4 and 6-8, which are indexed in the file and correspond to: video frame (1), absolute motion around the fly (3), velocity (4), position X (6), position Y (7), led (8). Note that the collisions data in the raw file is incorrect and these were calculated with X Y positions as described in the paper. To align video recordings to the start of the experiment and time of looming stimuli onset, we used the red LED as reference relative to which all timepoints were defined. To this end we used the LED column, which contains the light intensity values in an ROI around the LED (LED on corresponds to light intensity values over 5000 for magnets data and over 70000 for the remaining data). The LED blinked twice at experiment start and end, and once at each looming presentation. For the analysis in the manuscript, the raw data was cut such that only frames after experiment start and before end were included. In order to convert speed in pixel/frame to mm/s, we estimated the arena radius in pixels for each arena of the setup, cond 1 being 476 pixels and cond 2 being 432 pixels. All remaining details regarding data analysis are described in the accompanying manusc
