We investigated the effect of eDNA/eRNA extraction method on the metabarcoding data form sediment samples. Our results indicate that the use of DNeasy Power Soil Kit resulted in higher representation of Polychaeta, in turn, the recommended non-kit method ( Lim et al., 2016 in Front. Microbiol., 18 October 2016) favored Nematoda and some Copepoda species.
