资源简介:
Colletotrichum gloeosporioides is known to infect a wide range of hosts including citrus. This study was conducted to examine genome-wide microsatellite loci, and comparative genomic analyses among five C. gloeosporioides isolates from symptomatic citrus tissue in Ethiopia. Whole genome sequences were generated for those five isolates using Illumina MiSeq platform, and reads were de novo assembled into draft genome. Whole genome sequencing followed by genome assembly proved to be robust method for microsatellite discovery and primer design. Genome-wide analyses of microsatellites and knowledge of the patterns of their distribution may help to understand the population structure and evolution. Comparative genomic findings indicated that the isolates shared similar genetic content and organization. The draft genome will enhance the genetic resource for functional annotations to provide information for analyzing genetic features underlying plant-pathogen interaction, and evolutional studies of C. gloeosporioides that infects citrus.
