Building energy performance simulation model for a nearly zero-energy office in Brussels

A building energy performance simulation model for a nearly zero-energy office building in Brussels, Belgium, is developed using DesignBuilder and EnergyPlus. The model uses a reversible VRF unit (electric) with DX cooling coils and DX heating coils. The rated COP value for cooling and heating for VRF systems is defined in the model. The minimum and maximum temperature values, thresholds below and above which the cooling and heating system will be disabled, can also be defined in the model.
