The SynthHuman dataset is a high-fidelity synthetic dataset created for training human-centric computer vision models. It consists of 300,000 high-resolution (384×512) images covering three main tasks: relative depth estimation, surface normal estimation, and soft foreground segmentation. The images are generated using high-fidelity procedural generation techniques, including strand-level hair, detailed clothing, accessories, and expressive faces. The dataset was created by Microsoft Research in Cambridge, UK, and is shared by Microsoft.
