Limits of Spanish national parks

It contains the polygons of the limits of the Spanish national parks. The boundaries of national parks are established in accordance with their declaration laws, approved in the Cortes Generales, and other regulatory provisions for reclassification and expansion. The layer also includes the limits of the Special Protection Area of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, for its special connection with the National Park, defined in its declaration law. National parks are natural spaces of high ecological and cultural value, little transformed by human exploitation or activity that, due to the beauty of their landscapes, the representativeness of their ecosystems or the uniqueness of their flora, fauna, geology or geomorphological formations, possess ecological, aesthetic, cultural, educational and scientific outstanding values whose conservation deserves priority attention and is declared of general interest of the State (Law 30/2014, of 3 December, on National Parks).
